    Liz's Behind-the-Scenes photos from Ford

Hey gang, check out my behind the scenes photos I snapped from Ford headquarters last week. You'll see the crew working hard to make sure all the hits went well. We were live from 11:40am ET until about 4:15pm. We did the entire 3pm ET show live from our location in blowing wind and outrageously bright sunlight (better than RAIN, I suppose) But the conditions presented challenges as you'll see. One of our crew, Vivienne, had to sit for hours on the grass and hang onto one of our reflectors for dear life or else it would have blown away to Quebec. And Bob Ray, our super-star producer, is the guy by the Fox Business monitors. The sun was so bright, it washed out our Fox Biz graphics that were supposed to be on the screens so, Rob pulled a "MacGyver" as I like to call it. As soon as he realized it wasn't going to work, he emailed a j-peg of our logo to the nearest Kinkos, measured our monitors, gave Kinko's the dimensions and then had them print up logos of the exact monitor size. 53 minutes later, voila. Problem solved. Thank you Kinko's Dearborn!!! Thanks for checking in on the blog. Keep the comments coming, and.... Enjoy!

Ford CEO Alan Mulally arrives on the scene for our interview

--Mulally on Ford's shift to smaller vehicles: "The dye has been cast. This change is permanent."

--Mulally on the European Ford Focus: "The first thing I said to our engineers and designers was, 'Why doesn't the U.S. version of the Focus look like the European one?" They will now. He's bringing Europe's version here to the U.S.

--Mulally says Ford has enough capital to make all the necessary changes. And don't worry, gang, Fox Business will be watching and taking score, making sure our viewers get the real story.

--Mulally is particularly happy the Twin Cities Ford plant, which was skedded to close in 2009, will get a 'stay of execution.' It'll stay open 'til 2011.

--Here's Vivienne making sure our reflectors defy the wind gusts and stay in place.

    Team Fox Business!!!!

Me and makeup artist extraordinaire, Debbie Davis.

Detroit is the ultimate company town. They have a FORD store in the airport!!!

Not to be outdone, General Motors has a store at the airport right across from Ford's.

Stay tuned for our next Fox Business Road Trip!
