    "I Will Survive": MICHIGAN

The Michigan State Spartans aren't the only ones holding it up for the  embattled state: Today on Countdown to the Closing Bell, we landed an interview with Governor Jennifer Granholm who is  obviously very concerned about all of the GM developments over the past 24 hours, but wait til you hear her tone and how she views the future. And if you've got a business? Just listen to the incentives she says her state will offer.

    Here's the clip.

Liz, Michigan is not a good place to do business. In the last three years, several corporate headquarters relocated out of Michigan due to the big three labor, regulation and taxes. Also, when out of state companies acquired Michigan companies, the new owners speed up moving operations out of Michigan. These are the jobs for several college graduates that are leaving the state. I am planning to leave Michigan because there is a lack of opportunities for my skills set.

This interview reminds me of a Bolshevik's lament on being sent to the Gulag "If only comrade Stalin knew!" Not realizing that Stalin was the guy sending him to his death. Like the Bolshevik, the Gov thinks President Obama will fix Detroit. Wrong! He is a liberal Democrat who wants to kill Detroit. He now is in charge of GM and he will destroy it. The irony here is that unlike Stalin, the people of Michigan voted Obama into office...so be careful for what you wish for.
