Koz at the Steps of the Supreme Court

He definitely gets chutzpah points. Former Tyco International CEO Dennis Kozlowski is taking his case to court. Fox Business broke this story exclusively with Kozlowski's attorney Alan Lewis.

Lewis has filed a petition with the Supreme Court to appeal Koz's conviction of securities frad, grand larceny and falsifying business records.  The charge was that Koz and his CFO Mark Swartz stole $137 million company dollars. The two have paid $105 million in fines and $134 million in restitution. Koz alone was sentenced to a minimum of 8 1/3 to 25 years. He's already spent 5+ years in state prison up in Utica. I went there in November for an extended sit-down interview with Dennis Kozlowski.  He and his attorneys feel he was unfairly denied the opportunity to see certain evidence.

You may be thinking that the poster child for corporate excess should have been convicted and sent to prison. Keep in mind that that's exactly what happened and he's spent MORE time in prison than some murderers.  In fact, I learned in November from prison authorities that indeed there ARE murderers and rapists in Kozlowski's prison who will actually serve less time than he will.

Either way, taking this case to the Supreme Court is quite a step and we're step for step with the story. See his lawyer discuss the situation and hear from Dennis below.
