I agree with Buffett, we are in for a tough road ahead and the economic green sprouts that everyone is reporting are just not there. Trillions of $ in adjustable rate comercial real estate loans are on the horizon. The next 18 months are going to be a test of our nation.

Liz,
Please, please, please ENOUGH with Warren "the not so great" Buffet. Between him and the never ending appearances of the hucksters of Mr and Mrs Jack Welch, I am afraid to turn on either FBN or CNBC. By the way, will the old coot Buffet only do interviews with you and littel Becky Quick? Creepy.

For some time I have wondered why Buffett would back Obama. I had thought Buffett was somehow knew how to respond to Obama's financial plans. Now I realize that it is Obama who is following Buttet's plans. There is no other way he could stay on top of this and still think that "Obama is the right president for this time." What a deviant bunch!

Re: Buffet calls Obama right President for this time

This is an e-mail I just sent my Congressman, Chet Edwards of District 17 (Texas)

The proposed bill on the environment that is being prepared for voting by the House, the Waxman-Markey Bill, is just another stab at the heart of the American economy by folks that don't understand that we need a little stability to get the economy going again. The economy is still stalled by lack of faith in you guys in Washington, to put it plainly. The passage of this bill and the proposals being put out on health care bill do nothing for the majority of us but make our life more difficult regardless of the rationalizations that are put out by Congress and this Administration. The dishonesty in presenting these bills tells me either you guys just don't care, or you think we are stupid dolts, or that the funding from your Party's respective Congressional Campaign Committees trumps the need to protect us, the productive segments of our nation.

It is difficult to write with civility when so much is at stake. To say I am totally angry at Congress and at this Administration is a gross understatement. Physicians have a wise motto -- "First do no harm." I wish it applied to government. You yourself can review what you all have done in haste to "solve problems" and if you are honest with yourself, it has achieved little of what was offered as explanations for passage of such terrible bills. Jobs have not been saved. Shovel-ready projects aren't. Benefits to private enterprise have been few and far in between. Waste, corruption (Acorn, AmeriCorps, etc.) are endemic, and now, Waxman and his unseasoned staffers have persuaded you to support his attack on us. Look at California. It breeds folks like him. And see what they have done to California. And by endorsing passage of this environmental bill, you endorse his and his ilk's ruination of the rest of us.

Serious question now; How do we get you guys to stop this madness?

It's wonderful that he likes Obama. Gee, if I had a few billion $ laying around, I wouldn't be worrying about him either. On the otherhand, if you have to work like me, pay your bills, support a family, and still pay taxes then you have every reason in the world to worry. Who would have thought that Animal Farm would come true? Can't tell the Capitalists from the Socialists anymore.
