Straight from the Source: Labor Secretary Hilda Solis

Every business network is expounding on the dismal June Jobs report, about whether the Stimulus package is funneling jobs to the public quickly enough, or whether we need more money pumped into the system.

Fox Business wanted the story straight from the source. Yesterday, I hopped on the DC shuttle, landed in Washington and hours later was sitting in Labor Secretary Hilda Solis' office for an exclusive, wide-ranging interview on everything from how bad she sees it getting to whether big business should fear her.

When Solis was appointed Labor Secretary, Labor cheered her on. She's been a champion of the worker since Day 1. But businesses were a little nervous. Who *is* this activist? Is she anti-business? We talked about that and about many more issue that matter to all of us right now.

You should know that Solis is one of 7 kids. Her Mexican and Nicaraguan parents met in citizenship  class, both worked in industry: dad at a battery recycling plant, mom on the Mattel assembly line. She worked under Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, and now Barack Obama. I encourage you to watch all three clips below.

On the Claman/Solis interview: the interviewer allowed to many questions to go unanswered. There were direct questions, there was not direct answers. Softball interview.
