    Dig Down Deep

That's what I'll be doing Sunday at the crack of dawn when I jump into the Hudson to start my very first Triathlon. I'll be digging down deep to that 'place' we ALL have that helps us take a step further, push a bit harder, go a little faster... even if we don't feel like it.

I've been training since January as part of the News Corp/Fox Business team. A bunch of us from "the family", including Wall Street Journal, WNYW and Dow Jones folks will be there doing the best they can. Good luck to all of us.  The local Fox station here, WNYW, did a little video piece on me training. Check it out, below is the link. I hope it inspires you to try one some day. I know, I know, we're ALL busy. I'm a mom of 2 kids, full-time job, stressed out all the time, plus I was born with scoliosis--a slight curvature of the spine which I was always told would prevent me from running long distances.  Oh REALLY????

I'll never forget running the New York City Marathon in 2006. It was my first one and I was running with a hip injury. But I just looked around me for inspiration and it was everywhere. The year I ran it, some 60 Iraq war wounded vets were running it too. Some were paralyzed, others had lost limbs but there were out there slogging it out.  All I had to do was focus on their heroic efforst and press on.

I'll be thinking of those vets when I hear the gun go off Sunday.

Give me a thumbs up around 6am if u can!  See link below.
